Do you want to feel prepared and empowered to take care of your health this fall and winter? Are you excited to learn how to make herbal preparations with the plants growing around you? With over 15 years experience, Ember will share essential knowledge of harvesting, preparing and using local abundant plant medicines, and support you in deepening your relationship to the land.

In this class, you will learn:

  • Herbal approaches to winter wellness through hands-on experience

  • Principles for ethical and efficient harvesting of medicinal roots

  • How to make herbal extracts - and you will go home with some!

Grow your herbal confidence so you can apply your knowledge at home and make your own medicine! No previous experience necessary, all are welcome. All materials provided. Limited spots available.

About the instructor:

Ember Peters (they/them) is a clinical herbalist and educator based in Bridgetown, Nova Scotia, Unceded Mi'kmaq Territory. Ember has been in clinical practice since 2014, focusing on providing accessible sliding-scale herbal care to all people with complex chronic illness. They teach through the Maritime School of Holistic Herbalism Intermediate Program, the Wild Current Advanced Clinical Programs and the Holistic Herbalism Beginner Program. Ember recognizes community based holistic health and decolonial land stewardship as a tangible step towards collective liberation and resilience.
