This is the ideal basket project for a beginner or someone wishing to improve their basic stake and strand willow weaving skills. You will be making a beautiful basket with a myriad of household uses.

Starting with the base we will tie the slath and then pair to the desired diameter. Once the base is made we insert the stakes and beginning weaving with a 3 rod wale to build the sides and finish off with a trac border. You will get a chance to try essential basketry techniques and tools.
