With the heating season upon us a beautiful willow basket full of kindling or veggies is a sight to behold. Come and make your own and learn some of the basics of stake and strand willow basketry. You will be initiated into the language of willow from growing, harvesting and preparing to grading, sorting and finally weaving this basket with in-border handles. Using age old traditional methods of willow work you will make your own strong and lasting container made of locally grown materials. This workshop is suitable for those with some previous experience with basket weaving.

Coffee/tea and snack will be provided. Participants are expected to bring a packed lunch. Registration is limited to 8 people.
