In this workshop we will use a specific pattern of willow weaving which will give participants the option of making a variety of different willow creations either decorative or functional. Weave a beautiful hanging citrus or garlic holder which can also be used as an outdoor suet holder for birds, a decorative angel or a beautiful seasonal tree. After an introduction to the ‘language’ of willow we will make a simple stake and strand basket. It will include a 3 rod wale, a trak border and a Japanese eye knot. It is a fun beginner project that will give you a feel for what willow can do. Materials, jigs and tools provided.
