This is an opportunity to learn from a visiting basket maker, Laurence Thiffault, also known as Sweet Mama Grass. She has been weaving on her own journey for the last 8 years. Basket making is a real passion for Laurence Thiffault, but it is also a way of life in tune with natural cycles and her deepest convictions. Her passion led her to Europe where she gained knowledge from well-known basket makers. She makes everyday objects from materials she gathers from nature or produces on her family's land. For some years now, she has been enthusiastic about sharing her knowledge through creative workshops.
