Small Farm.
Big Impact.

Big Barn Little Farm is a small-scale, community-based regenerative farm located in Antigonish, Nova Scotia.

Big Barn little farm is owned and operated by Susannah Murphy and Will Frankland. As first generation farmers, they were drawn to the idea of growing food with the intention of providing the freshest, tastiest and highest quality produce with the smallest of footprints.

In response to a problematic global food system, they saw a place for small-scale farming with a focus on supplying a very local community in a way that works for people and is gentle on the environment.

We grow over 200 different varieties of vegetables, herbs, flowers, and fruit on our farm. Biodiversity is key to our style of farming. We also pasture raise chickens that provide us with nutrient rich eggs. In addition to our community supported agricultural program (CSA), we can also be found at the Antigonish Farmer’s market year round and provide fresh options to several local restaurants.

Farm Share

Our flag-ship program here at BIG BARN little farm is our farm share program which works as a Community Supported Agriculture system. Customers buy a ‘share’ of the farm every season and are paid out in vegetable ‘dividends’.
